About Us

Our Story

Unspoken Mothers was founded to shine a light on the often-hidden challenges of postpartum mental health. Our organization is dedicated to increasing awareness about the emotional changes that parents experience during pregnancy and postpartum.

Approximately 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers face postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Additionally, many individuals experience anxiety or depression during pregnancy. When a parent’s mental health is compromised, the entire family is affected. Unspoken Mothers is here to change that narrative by providing support, resources, and advocacy.

What We Do

Our efforts focus on:

  • Raising awareness of perinatal mental health challenges among public and professional communities.

  • Offering peer support and connecting families to essential resources.

  • Training professionals to better understand and address perinatal mental health.

  • Advocating for improved research, legislation, and support systems for families.

Our Reach

Unspoken Mothers works with a network of volunteers, professionals, and supporters to bring help and hope to families everywhere. Our online resources and community events aim to ensure no parent feels alone in their journey.
